Update on Katie Girl

Katie's confidence has been growing in leaps and bounds lately. She is much less shy around me and Adam lately. She is becoming a real companion. Like Spec, she is very food-motivated, and we sometimes catch her being mischievous.

Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Pitbull

We are fostering this sweet boy until his family is able to get back on their feet and find permanent housing. He has helped us to get over some anxieties we had about pitbulls and we are socializing him with people and other doggies. He is the perfect houseguest and a very gentle guy.

Goodbye, Jiggy Baby!

Jiggy left us for his forever home today. We only had him for a short time, but he has been one of my favorite furbabies. He is a friend to all, super sweet, and so unique. I will miss him, but I'm glad he has a home where they can spoil him and give him more attention than we can.

Update on Dasher

Since The Big Fix our Dasher has put on over 30 pounds. His skin condition has cleared up quite a bit, and his fur is growing back nicely. His paws no longer look like ostrich claws. He has been diagnosed with heartworms and a hip injury which is probably the result of being hit by a car. He will undergo surgery soon to correct his hip and get altered. Once he has recovered from his surgery he will begin heartworm treatment. He is sweet and very well-adjusted; he is housebroken and crate-trained and very intelligent. Dasher gets along with all dogs and humans and is always up for playtime.

Recent Foster Adoptions

Jack found his forever home with friends of SNIPSA in San Antonio.

Rusty is with his forever family in North Austin.

Grand Award Night 2009

Grant award night where the five finalists, including SNIPSA, competed for the $100K grant sponsored by Impact San Antonio. We did not win, but we put on a great skit and presentation. Adam and Dasher were ready for their debut!

Jigsaw

We found this little guy at the Drafthouse parking lot on October 23. He was about to run into the access road. We believe he belonged to someone, but did not find his owner after searching. He was not microchipped. Jiggy is now a SNIPSA dog!
